In 1945, the Franz Wölfer Elektromaschinenfabrik in Osnabrück was founded by Dipl.-Ing. Franz Wölfer was founded. Initially, the company focused on the repair and construction of small engines (2.2 kW) for the construction industry and agriculture.
In the 1960s, our family business began to develop, design and manufacture medium-sized (160 kW) asynchronous motors. Today, electric motors with an output of up to 2,000 kW are produced.
The production of our powerful engines takes place exclusively at the Osnabrück-Sutthausen site. We are continuously expanding our company location and modernizing the production technology used. In 2007, a test facility was acquired, which is one of the most modern and most powerful systems for testing electromotors in northern Germany.
For 70 years, the Franz Wölfer Elektromaschinenfabrik has been developing and manufacturing electric motors for use in lifting technology, in and on ships and in general mechanical engineering. With extensive know-how, we create highly efficient motors for individually adapted drive solutions.
